June Rose: a crochet summer
When my Nana Rose passed back in March, I was heartbroken. Still finishing school and getting ready to move back home from LA, all I could think about was how excited she was to see me graduate. As we were going through her things, I collected all of the lace and crochet décor pieces from her house because they reminded me of her.
This collection began with my FIDM graduation dress. I used her doily kitchen placemats to make my dress so I would have a part of her with me on that special day. After receiving so much love for my dress and the story behind it, I told my mom I wanted to create a collection with the rest of them. Later, she dug up her moms old doilies and lace pieces for me to use as well. This collection is named in honor of both of my grandmothers, June and Rose.
